Last Friday evening, December 20, a locomotive ran down two people at the Irpen station in the Kiev region of Ukraine. The moment of emergency hit the lens of the surveillance camera.
A woman and a young man tried to cross the railway lines, but did not notice the approaching locomotive, which knocked down pedestrians. From the blow people were thrown aside.
According to local authorities, both victims survived. The lady escaped with minor injuries, which can not be said about her friend in misfortune.
The young man was hospitalized with a closed head injury, a bruise of the frontoparietal region of the head, a blunt abdominal injury and a broken rib. He was urgently operated on and placed in the intensive care unit.
