An account that appears to be associated with an Arizona State University student organization shared a video of a man on the Tempe campus screaming, "Slash Republican throats."
Police at Arizona State University said on Wednesday night that they are investigating a video involving threats, hours after a video went viral on Twitter that appears to show a man on ASU's Tempe campus yelling, "Slash Republican throats!"
"We are aware of a video circulating on social media where an individual appears to be making threats. We are working with the University to address the matter," the department posted at 8:33 p.m.
Just before 5:30 p.m., a Twitter account named "Students for Trump at ASU" posted a video of a man who appears to be on ASU's Tempe campus screaming, "Slash his throat!" and "Slash Republican throats, slash fascist throats!"
The account posted that the interaction happened on Wednesday while students from the group were interacting with the public at a table outside. The Senate on Wednesday acquitted President Donald Trump of two articles of impeachment over his dealings with Ukraine.
