KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating after at least six people were shot Sunday night in a popular KCMO park.
Officers were called to Swope Park around 8:30 p.m. to investigate a reported shooting.
While they were driving to the scene, police said five victims arrived at a nearby hospital in private vehicles.
A sixth shooting victim drove home and called police from that location.
Officers arriving in the park found a large crime scene with multiple witnesses. Investigators are working to determine what led up to this incident.
All injuries in this incident are believed to be non-life-threatening.
