In the Cedar Grove area of Louisiana, two youngsters were videoed abusing a dog. The heartbreaking footage shows the dog able to escape from the cruelty and run away.
The video shows one boy picking up a black and white dog – the dog is obviously frightened as the child carried the defenseless pup to a street drain with running water puddled around it. The child tries to drown the dog by submerging its head into the running water – fortunately the dog was able to escape. Laughter could be heard in the background. A followup clip shows one of the boys throw the dog into a small pond of water – fortunately the dog was able to escape again.
Rescuers and animal advocates are outraged and are asking for the public’s help identifying the children and contacting authorities. It is not known if the dog belongs to either of these two youngsters, but it is important to make sure the pet is rescued, moved to a safe environment and the suspects taken into custody.
