A 15-year-old Highland boy was shot and wounded by San Bernardino police when he drew a pistol from his waistband during a foot pursuit, authorities said Wednesday.
The Tuesday afternoon shooting in Highland was the second time in as many days that San Bernardino police shot someone.
The boy, who was not further identified, is expected to survive. The gun, described as an unregistered 9 mm handgun, was recovered, said the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating.
