An 80,000-ton cargo ship caused mayhem today after it crashed into a Taiwanese port and sent a crane toppling towards a crowd of terrified dock workers.
The giant vessel was preparing to dock at a port in Kaohsiung, southern Taiwan, on Thursday morning when it hit the overhead crane, the port management company confirmed.
Dramatic video footage shows the 80,000-tonne ship, which belongs to Orient Overseas (International) Ltd, collide with the crane as it turns in dangerously close to the port.
No one was seriously injured.
