A man is in a serious condition in hospital after beingattacked on one of the busiest roads in north Manchester tonight.
The attack happened on Bury Old Road in Cheetham Hill just after 7pm this evening (Monday).
A man in his 30s was stabbed during the incident police said.
There are unconfirmed reports from the scene that he was attacked with a machete.
He was rushed to hospital with injuries that have been described as "serious" and "potentially life-changing."
No one has yet been arrested with the police investigation into the incident in its early stages tonight.
