OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The Washington State Patrol's top brass is bracing for the loss of several troopers as the deadline for Gov. Jay Inslee's mandate for public workers to be vaccinated for COVID-19 nears.
According to the agency, 91 troopers -- 8.5 percent of of department's total force -- have either not been vaccinated or submitted their paperwork that indicates their vaccination status.
Patrol staffers who haven't done so will face termination from the force on Oct. 18.
