Biden Blowback: Massive Explosion Inside A Mosque In Kandahar Leaves 47 Dead, 70 Injured

At least 47 people were killed and more than 70 injured after an explosion tore through a Shiite mosque during Friday prayers in the Afghan city of Kandahar. Hafiz Sayeed, the Taliban’s chief for Kandahar’s department of culture and information, confirmed the numbers.

A witness, Murtaza, who goes by one name as many people in Afghanistan do, told the AP by phone that four suicide bombers entered the mosque — two detonating explosives at a security gate to clear the way for the other two to enter the compound, where prayers were ongoing. He said that about 500 people may have been in attendance.
