UK- A road in Mitcham was closed in both directions today (October 26) after an unmarked police car rammed into a female officer while she ran to the trunk of her police vehicle.
In footage shared on social media of the incident, a female Met Police officer can be seen running to the trunk of the vehicle with sirens blaring in the background.
A black unmarked police car then approaches from behind the person recording the video and fails to slow down enough and appears to then crash into the female officer and pinning her legs before reversing.
It is understood that the road the incident occurred on is Rowan Road in Mitcham which was closed at around 10am.
The officer limps away from the crash before the car passenger gets out revealing himself to be another police officer.
Other police rush to give her first aid.
The woman was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the Met said in a statement.
