A postman who left an old woman in Bainsford lying in the snow after she had a fall because he was “too knackered to help” has been fired by the Royal Mail.
Thomas McCafferty's callous actions sparked a huge backlash when it was first reported.
McCafferty ignored Patricia Stewart’s pleas for help and left her lying on her doorstep after she slipped on ice in Scotland, last February.
Ms. Stewart’s neighbor’s doorbell camera shows the postman talking to the 72-year-old, who can be seen lying on the ground in front of her house.
