02.20.2022 | 5:18 AM | SAN DIEGO – The male driver was eastbound on Rancho Bernardo Rd when he crashed into a parked car and cause a chain-reaction crash involving a total of 6 cars including his own.
Firefighters arrived and extricated the male with major life-threatening injuries.
There is a heavy amount of blood throughout the inside of the victim’s car.
Protein powder is everywhere and a knife was found open on the dash of the vehicle.
At the hospital, the doctors found a stab wound to the victim’s next.
It is believed that the male was using the knife to mix the protein powder in a container of water and became distracted, thus causing the accident.
It’s believed that the impact along with the airbag caused the victim to stab himself in the neck.
It will be up to the County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death, whether it was the impact or the stab wound to the neck.
The driver was not wearing his seatbelt.
Speed was also a factor, and there are no brake skid marks.
