The Ukrainian military and the National Guard managed to regain their positions in Chernihiv. Two Russian servicemen were taken prisoner, one of whom turned out to be a senior officer – a major. About it informs National Guard on Saturday, February 26.
“During the battles for Chernihiv, as a result of a lightning attack, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine managed to return to their positions with lightning speed and capture two Russian invaders, who did not even have time to react to what happened, were very confused and were forced to surrender in order to save his life. One of them is the chief of staff of military unit 41659,” the report says.
Photos from the scene were also released. In one of the photographs, the identity of the captured officer is Major Leonid Petrovich Shchetkin, born in 1987.
