A disturbing and pathetic video was uploaded to Twitter this weekend showing a young child in Shanghai being separated from his parents because of China's ludicrous zero-COVID policy.
The child is seen walking slowly with his head down in what appears to be an adult-sized hazmat-like suit as CCP health workers point to the paddy wagon the child needs to climb into.
Health officials in China's most populous city have defended a policy of separating babies and young children from their parents if they test positive for COVID-19, as frustration at the city's tough virus controls builds.
Around 25 million people in Shanghai, China's financial center, remained locked down on Monday as authorities try to snuff out the country's most severe coronavirus outbreak since the end of the first pandemic wave in early 2020.
