ELIZABETH, NJ - A woman is in critical but stable condition at University Hospital after being struck by a car multiple times early Tuesday morning in Elizabeth, according to a spokeswoman for the City of Elizabeth.
A video shows the woman running away from what appears to be a Subaru Forrester, running onto properties to try and avoid being hit. The video also shows the woman being struck, collapsing to the ground, and being run over two more times. The video was taken around 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of Salem Avenue and Aberdeen Street.
A spokesperson for the city says the suspect has been identified and apprehended.
It is said the woman was taking photos of the assailing car after a fender bender when the driver decided to run her down.
