REDDING, Calif. —
A runaway bull in Northern California injured several people after jumping a fence and escaping during a popular rodeo.
Video from the Redding Rodeo shows the bull bucking its rider and jumping the fence during the final section of the bull riding event on Friday night.
The Redding Police Department told Action News Now that six people were injured during the entire incident.
"The rodeo announcer immediately activated the emergency response plan," Redding Rodeo officials said on social media.
Five people were injured when the bull jumped the fence. Action News Now said four of them were "medically cleared and left before law enforcement arrived. One victim, a teen, received minor injuries."
