New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a package of gun reform legislation on Monday that will increase the age to buy a rifle to 21, restrict the sale of body armor to specific professions, and revise the state's red flag law.
The gun reforms come less than a month after an 18-year-old gunman allegedly used an AR-15 style rifle to murder 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket in what officials called a racist attack.
"In New York, we are taking bold, strong action. We're tightening the red flag laws to keep guns away from dangerous people," Hochul said a press conference on Monday.
Part of the legislation signed by Hochul on Monday will require "social media networks in New York to provide a clear and concise policy regarding how they would respond to incidents of hateful conduct on their platform."
The sit-in Governor did not specify or define what 'hate speech' actually is, as is always the case with liberals restricting speech.
