TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — An Adair County Sheriff's deputy is on leave Wednesday due to an investigation into an off-duty incident in Washington County, Arkansas.
A video gained traction on Facebook showing Deputy Travis Adams in a heated argument with a gun in his hand.
Toward the end of the video, the other man seems to shove Adams who then fires two shots at close range.
The person who posted the video claims Adams was drunk at the time.
Adair County Sheriff Jason Ritchie released a statement on Facebook announcing Adams's administrative leave and said he intends to cooperate with investigators.

I Adair County Sheriff Jason Ritchie am aware of the incident that took place in Washington County Arkansas with off duty Adair county Sheriff Deputy Travis Adams . I intend to cooperate fully and trust Washington County will do a thorough investigation. Deputy Adams will be on Admin leave pending the investigation.
