A 16-year-old boy was stabbed during a fight on board a SEPTA train on the Broad Street Line near SEPTA’s Logan Station in Philadelphia on Saturday night. The incident has led to the arrest of a 46-year-old man, whose identity and charges have not yet been disclosed by the Philadelphia Police.
Cellphone footage obtained by NBC10 captured part of the brawl, which reportedly involved a group of teens. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his stomach and leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether or not the man was acting in self-defense, but the incident has sparked concerns about youth violence and parental responsibility. One SEPTA rider, who chose to remain anonymous, criticized parents for not ensuring their children's safety by allowing them to be out on the streets late at night.
