During the detainment, the suspects reportedly subjected the victim to physical assault, verbal abuse, and blade lacerations while recording the ordeal.
As per police reports, on March 11th, the 13-year-old victim received an invitation to a house in Sunshine Coast, where she was allegedly held captive by the three suspects. The suspects are accused of recording the victim's abuse while the victim was subjected to battery by the trio for several hours at the Tewantin residence. In addition to this, the suspects purportedly taunted the victim and inflicted blade wounds upon her.
The suspects, aged 12, 13, and 14, have been charged with various offenses, including causing bodily harm through assault, deprivation of liberty, and armed robbery. The 14-year-old suspect has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Children's Court next month. The remaining two suspects are scheduled to appear at the same court later this month.
The police department has requested that individuals refrain from circulating any footage or images of the incident in order to protect the victim's dignity and prevent the suspects from achieving notoriety.
