In their eagerness to reach the United States, migrants enter the Bravo River to leave Mexican territory and swim across to fulfill the so-called American dream. However, it was at that point that the death of two migrants was recorded who drowned in the mud.
Carlos, originally from Venezuela, intended to arrive in the United States along with his family made up of his wife and two children, one 15 and the other 8 years old, who witnessed him drowning in the river without being able to do anything. He was part of a group of migrants who entered the Rio Grande to try to swim to the American side at the border in Brownsville, Texas, but they faced mud and a large amount of garbage, which made their path to the United States deadly.
