An American traveler was detained Tuesday morning at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, Jamaica, and taken into police custody after stripping naked and attempting to disarm a police officer. Authorities had to subdue her before transporting her to the Cornwall Regional Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
Police reports are that around 11:00 am, the passenger got into a physical confrontation with her friend at the check-in counter. When police attempted to intervene and restrain her, she tried to disarm him with his firearm. The woman was observed acting erratically and screaming at times. At another point, she was rolling on the floor in only her bra and you could hear members of the public begging for officers to help her.
