A disturbing video captured the shocking moment when a group of migrants assaulted two police officers near Times Square over the weekend. Despite the violent attack, sources reveal that the apprehended suspects were subsequently released back onto the streets without bail.
The footage depicts an NYPD officer and lieutenant initially instructing the migrants to move along on West 42nd Street in Manhattan around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. However, the situation escalates quickly, leading to a scuffle between the officers and one suspect who is wrestled to the ground.
The confrontation intensifies as other individuals converge on the officers, launching kicks to their heads and bodies. The video reveals the officers on the ground as the assailants flee east on 42nd Street towards Seventh Avenue.
Subsequent to the incident, four asylum-seeking individuals were initially apprehended by the police. Identified as Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel (19), Kelvin Servat Arocha (19), Juarez Wilson (21), and Yorman Reveron (24), these individuals were taken into custody. However, they were later released without bail.
