Columbus, Ohio — On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at approximately 3:23 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of East Dublin Granville Road on a report of a stolen vehicle in the area. The caller stated they located their 2015 Toyota Camry, which was stolen from Lancaster, Ohio, driving on East Dublin Granville Road. Officers arrived a short time later and witnessed a vehicle matching the provided description driving in the area. Officers followed the vehicle and attempted to stop it in the area of Beechcroft Road and Clintonview Street, but the vehicle failed to stop and fled the area. Officers disengaged from the vehicle and stopped following it a short time later.
At 3:51 pm, officers aired they located the vehicle in the Sheetz gas station parking lot, located in the 900 block of East Dublin Granville Road. The vehicle left the area again and proceeded to drive westbound on East Dublin Granville Road. A short time later, the vehicle entered the parking lot of the Huntley Square shopping center and began driving erratically around the lot. While in the parking lot, the vehicle began driving in reverse, before abruptly driving forward and striking a Columbus Police sergeant. The vehicle continued driving through the parking lot with the sergeant on the hood of the vehicle. The sergeant discharged their firearm several times, striking the driver. The vehicle left the parking lot by driving through the grass, at which time the sergeant fell off the vehicle.
The vehicle fled the scene again by driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of travel on East Dublin Granville Road. As the vehicle approached the entrance ramp of Interstate 71 north, it struck two vehicles head-on. It was at that time officers were able to take the driver, an adult female and sole occupant of the vehicle, into custody. Officers rendered aid to the suspect until medics arrived and transported her to Riverside hospital in serious condition. The occupants of the two vehicles the suspect struck were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The sergeant was transported to Grant Hospital in stable condition. The suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Holly Lynn Graham, Graham has been charged with felonious assault and is currently in police custody at the hospital.
