Bricklayer Is Murdered In Front Of His Wife And Child In His Home

In the Jardim Petrópolis neighborhood, Nobres, Mato Grosso, Brazil, 151 kilometers from Cuiabá, was abruptly interrupted last Saturday (17) when João Carmo da Costa Pereira, a 35-year-old bricklayer, was the victim of a fatal shooting in front of his wife and son. The incident, recorded by security cameras, reveals the chilling scene when two men on a motorcycle arrived at João's home.

In the images, João is seen enjoying a family moment in front of his house while his son plays with a ball. The harmony is broken when two men on a motorcycle approach.

One of them, armed with a shotgun, descends and shoots João, who tries to take refuge in his home. Despite his efforts to jump over the wall and escape, the victim is hit by gunfire, leaving her lifeless on the ground.

The shocking scene leaves João's wife stunned, helplessly witnessing the violence unleashed in front of her family. The frightened son flees the scene while the motorcyclist drives away alone, leaving behind a family tragedy.

Rogério Gomes, the delegate in charge of the case, has reported that, so far, no connection of the victim with criminal organizations has been identified.
