KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A little boy remains at a hospital fighting for his life Thursday after being shot Wednesday night near Central High School. In the last eight days, he’s the third innocent child shot in Kansas City.
An 11-year-old and a 5-year-old both died from their wounds in separate shootings.
The video begins by showing kids playing on a sunny evening. The neighborhood hoop is up, bicycles are out and the warm weather is doing what it has a tendency to do: Bring people and communities together.
Moments into the video, there’s a barrage of bullets where all you hear for 15 seconds is gunfire.
The end result of that gun battle was a 6-year-old was getting knocked off his bike by a bullet – now in a local hospital fighting for his life according to his family.
