Grandmother SHOOTS a career criminal home intruder to protect her 4-year-old granddaughter.
“Get back. Get back! I have a gun. Get back! Get back. I will f****** shoot you!"
Anissa Tinnin from New Mexico said that she was dancing to the Taylor Swift movie with her granddaughter.
Joseph Rivera, 32, crashed a stolen vehicle and fled on foot, eventually entering Tinnin's home.
Rivera threatened Tinnin and her granddaughter, saying he didn’t want to go to jail.
Tinnin tried to calm him down and called 911, keeping the line open.
Rivera took the key fob but returned, prompting Tinnin to protect herself and her granddaughter with a gun.
Rivera had a warrant out for his arrest in July and was found passed out in a stolen car.
Even with five previous felony convictions, he was released and failed to appear in court.
He was arrested in September, released, missed court in October, re-arrested, and rereleased. He was on the run since.
