A Hell’s Kitchen gay bar owner has removed his security team after a video surfaced of a beating of what appears to be a client outside Hush nightclub on W52nd Street.
Two men have been arrested and charged with assault in relation to the incident.
The video, initially published on Reddit, shows at least four men dressed in black, some wearing T-shirts saying “Security”, dragging a man to the ground while kicking and punching him multiple times. The victim of the beating was then seen lying in the middle of W52nd Street between 8/9th Avenue. One of the men, dressed in long leather coat, complained audibly that the victim of the beating had bitten his finger.
Police say they were called at 1:15am on Sunday morning to the club at 348 W52nd Street after Chantis Parks, 39, complained that he had been struck multiple times. Cops at the scene observed that he had swelling to the right eye and minor scrapes to both knees. He was taken to Mount Sinai West for medical evaluation.
