A woman has meltdown and assaults reporter after a Spirit passenger’s suitcase with her Apple Watch inside was pinged to the woman’s house.
Paola Garcia says her luggage was stolen from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport.
When she was able to locate her watch, she was shocked to find dozens of suitcases at the home.
After an investigation was conducted, 29-year-old Junior Bazile was arrested for stealing her luggage.
Local ABC 10 news decided to return to the house and confronted Bazile’s mother about the incident.
After a cordial conversation, the mother lashed out and assaulted the reporter.
No charges were filed.
Spirit Airlines released a statement after and said they were issuing a reimbursement as a “courtesy.”
“We issued a reimbursement check to the guest as a courtesy, even though we are not currently aware of any evidence that any Spirit employee was involved. We take any allegation of this nature seriously, and we are investigating.”
