8 Hispanic males with Venezuelan accents are wanted for the brutal armed robbery of a West Highland jewelry store.
Joyeria El Ruby, a family-owned Denver jewelry store, has been in business for 24 years.
“They pinned my mom to the floor and hit her in the back of the head three times with a gun, then they hit my cousin.”
A man entered the shop pretending to shop; shortly after, three more men entered and went into the secure area.
The owner asked the three men to remove their sunglasses and hats. Moments later, the situation turned violent.
“He grabbed her by the hair, took her up the stairs and told her not to move or he was going to kill her.”
“I thought they would kill me after hitting me three times and they told me they would kill me and my niece if I moved towards the panic button.”
“I saw four men coming in the back door with hats and glasses —— They were all wearing white gloves and loading their guns.”
The woman said it sounded like the men were speaking with a Venezuelan accent.
The Denver Police Department confirmed investigators are looking for eight Hispanic male suspects.
