A 13-year-old girl was fatally stabbed and thrown in a closet in a random attack at her apartment complex on the Fourth of July.
Jerry Dorisme, 28, was arrested Thursday on charges of first-degree felony murder.
Rose Dieujuste,13, was found partially naked with stab wounds in a utility closet at her apartment complex.
Deputies said there were signs of sexual abuse but it has not yet been confirmed.
Surveillance video shows the suspect following the 13-year-old to her friend’s building.
Dieujuste was barely alive when transferred to a nearby hospital. She later died from her injuries.
Dorisme had a previous arrest for lewd and lascivious behavior on a child.
According to nearby residents Dorisme used to live in the area and was known for walking around and watching girls.
