EMS rescues a newborn boy found abandoned in a dumpster near a southwest Houston apartment complex.
A taco truck employee gave birth inside a nearby food truck and abandoned the baby in a dumpster before returning to clean the mobile restaurant, according to reports.
Witness video shows EMS rescuing the newborn boy from a dumpster filled with trash and wrapping him in a blanket.
The newborn's hair was still wet, his umbilical cord appeared fresh, and his skin looked pink and pruned.
A passerby heard the baby crying in the dumpster and called for help just before 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The baby boy was taken to the hospital and found to be in good health.
He is now with Child Protective Services as police investigate who abandoned him.
