Las Vegas officer finds 2-year-old boy’s body in dumpster, hours after the child’s mother reported him missing.
A Clark County grand jury indicted Diaja Smith, 23, and Jacoby Robinson Sr., 24, on murder and child abuse charges
Police suspect Jacoby Robinson Jr. died earlier in the day before Smith allegedly put his body in the dumpster.
Smith then called 911, reporting Jacoby missing and claiming someone took him from a park.
Surveillance footage showed a woman, believed to be Smith, with her three children, including two in a stroller, before Jacoby's body was found.
Police suspect Smith beat Jacoby and his younger brother with a belt and power cords.
The boy’s body reportedly showed “significant signs of physical injury to [his] head, torso and buttocks”
