Father sentenced to 31 years in state prison for trying to kill his twin daughters by driving them off a 30-foot cliff
Robert Brians, 51, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder, kidnapping, child abuse, burglary and domestic violence.
Brians abducted his twin daughters, Hailey and Aubrey, on June 12, 2020.
Officer Jonathan Wiese rescued them by rappelling down the cliff.
The twins’ mother, Jenna Brians, had been waiting for justice for four years.
Hailey had a brain bleed and compression fractures in her vertebrae and required breathing assistance.
They were admitted to intensive care and recovered within weeks.
