Police provided an update on a Beverly Hills stabbing on Saturday, identifying the man who died as the suspect who attacked a father and child.
Reports show the father stabbed the suspect as an act of self-defense during the sidewalk altercation, and both men sustained injuries.
Officers arrived at the call in the 100 block of Spalding Drive around 2:51 p.m. The alleged attacker was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The Beverly Hills Police Department said his exact cause of death remains under investigation. The victim was treated and released.
KTLA spoke with a good Samaritan on Saturday who intervened during the attack, and witnessed the suspect attempt more altercations in the area before officers arrived.
