Atlanta sheriff is under fire for calling backup to a Burger King after staff got his order wrong and asked officers to get the manager's name.
Cobb County Sheriff Craig Owens Sr. called for backup at a Burger King after receiving an incorrect order.
In body camera footage, he asked officers, "Hey, do me a favor. I need to get - all I need is the owner name of whoever owns this damn facility or the manager."
Owens explained his order issue, stating, "I wanted her [passenger] a Whopper, no mayo, cut in half, right? I don't need no damn money back no more. I just need to find out who owns this place so I can do an official complaint to complain about the service."
Sheriff Owens claimed the situation was politicized for votes, "This is a business dispute that any citizen can make," and said he was not in uniform at the time.
