This is the horrifying moment a group of thugs battered each other with metal poles on a residential street in broad daylight.
Paramedics rushed three men to hospital yesterday afternoon after the vicious assault in Anfield, Liverpool. Three men, aged 41, 36 and 27, were also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. According to the ECHO, a white Ford van with a smashed windscreen remains at the scene, with a cordon in place as police continue their investigation. Dried blood can still be seen staining the tarmac.
A woman at the scene told the publication that she spoke to another witness who saw the men fighting with "metal rods", adding that there was "blood all over the floor". The condition of the three hospitalized men is currently unknown.
A video that has been circulating on social media shows two men armed with what looks like metal poles, striking another man on the floor. The man can be seen holding his hands up in the air in an attempt to fend off the blows. At one point he gets up but is then tackled back to the floor. He attempts to crawl off, before he is struck again with the pole on his back and on his legs. He then gets up and runs off while also carrying a metal pole.
