Nightclub Balcony Collapses, Sending Nearly 2 Dozen People Falling 3 Floors To The Sidewalk Outside, Killing 2

A night of entertainment at a popular music club in Mexico turned disastrous when a glass balustrade on the club’s balcony gave way, leading to a tragic fall for around twenty young attendees.

The incident took place at the Rich nightclub, located on the third floor of the Alttus shopping center in San Luis Potosí, during the transition from Friday to Saturday.

The aftermath of the collapse was severe, resulting in two fatalities and fifteen injuries among the youth who plummeted approximately 12 meters. The event was captured on surveillance video, showing a calm scene abruptly turning chaotic as the group fell with the shattered glass, leaving several motionless on the ground.

Despite the immediate medical response, two individuals succumbed to their injuries, with five of the injured in critical condition.
