Following three drive-by shootings at a Richmond Hill movie theatre in May, another dangerous attack took place at the cinema this past weekend.
Newly released police video footage from Sunday night shows an arson attack at the movie theatre, near East Beaver Creek Road and Highway 7, where two suspects set a fire using Molotov cocktails.
In the video, two people are shown getting out of the back of a grey SUV at the front of the theatre before walking into the lobby at approximately 11:10 p.m.
One of the two suspects then places a bag on the ground before they both appear to light Molotov cocktails and throw them in the direction of the bag which catches on fire.
The footage shows the suspects running back to their idling vehicle, which speeds away from the scene.
The building’s sprinkler system was activated to extinguish the fire and none of the movie theater-goers on the second floor were injured, according to police.
