Florida deputy who was charged for catching a motorcyclist on fire by tasering him at a gas station, cleared of all charges.
Osceola County deputy David Crawford was found not guilty after 26-year-old Jean Baretto was burned alive after being tased.
Baretto had been pulled over for riding recklessly when the incident unfolded.
Crawford's lawyers argued that he didn't intentionally use the taser on Baretto but it went off when he threw it to the side.
In the police footage, gas could be seen pouring onto the ground as the incident unfolded.
At the time of the February 2022 incident, Sheriff Marcos López claimed officers believed Barretto fit the description of someone on a dirt bike who was accused of pointing a gun at a driver.
Baretto survived but he has burns covering 3/4 of his body.
