24-year-old bull rider somehow survives after getting gored in the throat by a bull's horn, and loses two gallons of blood.
Zachary Naegele is lucky to be alive after a freak accident took place at the Conley Invitational in Palmetto, Florida.
Naegele neck could be seen violently slamming into the bull's horn before he fell off. The rider could then be seen grabbing his neck before rushing to get medical attention.
"I could feel myself going in and out from the amount of blood loss in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. I had to fight to keep breathing," Naegele told a local news outlet.
The bull rider had a successful surgery where surgeons repaired his small carotid artery, which was severed.
Naegele will be out for at least 8 weeks. He says he plans to go back to bull riding.
"I know that God has bigger plans for me in life; now it’s time to get healed up."
"I most definitely plan to get back into bull riding. My goal is to make it onto one of the PBR teams, specifically the Oklahoma Wildcatters."
