Video from surveillance cameras and bodycams shows a Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy shove a woman out of the Sacramento County Main Jail, causing her to fall to the ground.
Some of the footage, a stitched-together version of which was posted to Reddit earlier this week, is time-stamped around 11 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2024.
Bodycam footage shows a deputy attempting to get the woman to sign her name to some documents.
In the footage, the deputy grows visibly frustrated as the woman talks and he asks her to focus on signing the documents.
The deputy then asks the woman if she was injured while she was in the building, to which she says she was injured in her abdomen before taking the statement back, seemingly to move the process along. She declines to see a nurse.
After failing to get a direct answer to the next question, the deputy takes the signing pad away and does some work at the computer.
The video shows the deputy then hand the woman her belongings and begin to forcefully escort her out of the building alongside a few other deputies.
As she is led to the door, another deputy alludes to the woman assaulting his partner.
