The chaos, which began around 1 p.m., escalated when several support poles were knocked over, creating a loud noise that many mistook for gunfire. According to Dallas police, the fight between the two individuals led to the collapse of multiple poles. According to Officials, the situation turned into a ‘stampede’ due sudden crashes and loud noises. All the attendees, including parents, athletes, and coaches, rushed to exit the venue in fear.
As a precaution, event organizers evacuated the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Dallas Fire-Rescue confirmed that 10 people were transported to local hospitals with injuries ranging from minor bruises to fractured extremities.
