We do see the driver is wearing a GoPro or similar camera to capture the point of view drive, and just keep your eye on the rear-view mirror as you can suddenly see flames erupting from the rear of the car. Playing back the video several times, you can also see the moment the Check Engine Light illuminates, but it came on only after there was already an issue which impacted the Stingray’s LT2 V8 engine.
As soon as he notices the flames, he brings the car to a stop on the side of the access road where he was driving. Jumping out, he rushes to the passenger side to grab what I believe to be a camera bag and then retreats from the burning vehicle.
