Russian fighters are strapping huge mines to African mercenaries fighting for Putin.

A shocking video shows a man, named only as Francis, with an explosive device attached to his chest.

The harrowing footage suggests Putin’s forces are using African mercenaries as so-called “can-openers” or “bottle-openers” .

The mercenary’s grim task is to run into opposition territory and detonate the mine, blowing themselves up to “open” the bunker.

The tactic means that other fighters can follow and fight the surviving Ukrainians more easily.

The device is thought to be a TM-62 mine, a massively powerful anti-tank explosive.
