Former Minn Gov, Jesse Ventura Is Pushing The State To Secede And Become A Part Of Canada

Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura is once again pushing the boundaries of political discourse, this time by suggesting the Land of 10,000 Lakes should pack up and head north.
Ventura, a longtime critic of former President Donald Trump, said Minnesota should consider seceding from the United States and becoming part of Canada, arguing that Trump dislikes the state so much it may as well leave altogether.
“I’d like to see Minnesota become Canadians,” Ventura said, framing the idea as a response to what he claims is hostility from Trump toward the state.
Ventura went further, bluntly declaring, “Donald Trump don’t want us.”
The former governor did not explain how such a move would work legally or constitutionally — or whether Minnesotans actually support abandoning U.S. citizenship, but the comments fit Ventura’s long-standing reputation for embracing radical, headline-grabbing ideas.
