A night out in Melbourne reportedly went sideways in spectacular fashion after a man was struck in the head by a wooden chair allegedly thrown by his own friend during an argument outside a nightclub.
The incident unfolded after the two men were kicked out of the venue, a familiar ending to many late-night disputes that usually stops at shouting and bruised egos. This one didn’t. According to reports, the argument continued outside with club security, where one of the men decided escalation was the answer and went next door to grab a wooden chair.
That’s where things took a turn from stupid to brutal.
According to 7 News, the man was allegedly attempting to hurl the chair at security guards. Instead, he missed his intended target entirely and smashed his own friend in the head, turning a routine ejection into a jaw-dropping example of instant karma and terrible aim.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene as the argument abruptly ended once the chair was connected. There’s a certain irony in watching someone get taken out not by security, not by police. Still, by the very person they showed up with collateral damage in a moment of drunken rage and poor decision-making.
One bad decision, one flying chair, and one very rough reminder that sometimes the biggest threat on a night out isn’t the bouncer, it's your drunken mate. Brutal.
