LOL, The Tongva Tribe Says Billie Eilish Hasn’t Reached Out About Returning the “Stolen Land” Under Her LA Mansion

Billie Eilish has been loud about “stolen land” rhetoric in public, but when it comes to the land beneath her own multimillion-dollar Los Angeles mansion, the people who actually claim it say they have not heard a word from her.
The Tongva tribe, recognized as the ancestral inhabitants of the Los Angeles basin, confirmed this week that Eilish has never contacted them about her property, despite her repeated public statements about colonization and land theft.
A spokesperson for the Tongva tribe told The Daily Mail that they are fully aware Eilish’s home sits on their ancestral land, noting that they are “the First People of the greater Los Angeles basin.” Still, the spokesperson said the pop star has not made any effort to engage with the tribe directly about returning the land or addressing her ownership of it.
“Eilish has not contacted our tribe directly regarding her property,” the spokesperson said, adding that the tribe appreciates it when public figures use their platforms to highlight the country’s history.
