Cardi B might have turned a robot on too much… because it seemingly launched itself at her in the middle of San Francisco.
While visiting the city ahead of Super Bowl LX, the rapper turned an ordinary sidewalk moment into a full-blown internet event after attempting to give a robot what she openly described as a lap dance. Because when Cardi B sees a robot, the only logical response is chaos.
In footage captured by TMZ, Cardi, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, was surrounded by fans outside her hotel when she spotted the robot and announced her intentions to the crowd. Phones immediately came out. History was about to be made.
She danced around the robot, posed suggestively, and fully committed to the bit. At one point, Cardi leaned in close, seemingly going in for a kiss. That’s when things took a turn straight out of a sci-fi slapstick comedy.
The robot suddenly lurched forward, and Cardi stumbled backward, falling to the ground as onlookers gasped and laughed in equal measure.
Thankfully, Cardi appeared unharmed and quickly recovered, because if there’s one thing she’s elite at, it’s bouncing back from ridiculous situations she personally escalated.
