Anti-ICE Walkout At A High School In Washington State Spirals Out Of Control HARD!
An anti-ICE student walkout at Enumclaw in Washington State spiraled into chaos Thursday after protesters swarmed police officers, assaulted bystanders, and attempted to interfere with arrests, according to video footage and local reporting.
The incident unfolded Feb. 13 when an estimated 100 to 150 students walked out of Enumclaw High School around noon to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity across the country. The demonstration initially appeared peaceful, with students chanting slogans such as “No justice, no peace.”
That calm quickly unraveled.
About an hour into the protest, tensions escalated when confrontations broke out between students and individuals filming the demonstration. Video reviewed by Lynnwood Times shows protesters surrounding YouTuber Danny Rebel as he stood on a public sidewalk. The crowd can be heard chanting profanities, including “F ICE and F you too.”
At one point, a female student punched Rebel after he blew a whistle in her direction. Rebel repeatedly shouted that she was “going to jail” as the situation deteriorated. Moments later, the crowd surged forward, chasing him for roughly a block.
When police arrived to make an arrest related to the alleged assault, a second student reportedly struck another man who was filming the scene, doing so in front of officers. As police attempted to take the first suspect into custody, a group of young girls swarmed officers and tried to pull her away, actively resisting the arrest.
An officer then moved to arrest a second girl involved in the confrontation. During that arrest, another student allegedly assaulted a law enforcement officer.
The situation continued to spiral as six officers attempted to escort the detained suspects to a secure area. Video shows two additional officers physically holding a gate shut as multiple students pushed and struck at it in an apparent attempt to break through and reach the arrestees.
Foul language, racial slurs, and repeated physical confrontations with police can be heard throughout the footage.
Despite the violence, authorities reported no major injuries. Multiple students were arrested in connection with alleged battery and assaults on law enforcement.
